Never in human history has the velocity of change been so fast; uncertainty and unpredictability in future professional and social contexts are becoming clear. Education is at a crossroad in which teachers have to enable students to live in a permanent volatile context. World educational organizations insist on the need that learning should not focus only on the cognitive domain, but should include soft skills and make a clear statement in critical thinking. Even in the face of unpredictability, we know that more or less transformed, the landscape is an ever-present resource. We propose its observation in order to stimulate critical thinking in children. The attitude towards reality must be questioning and proactive; confronting children with the landscape, asking things about it and proposing interventions develops a critical posture. We also present some data about an experience carried out in kindergartens that emphasize the assertiveness and didactic potential of the landscape.
