The worrying decline in democratic institutions and the rise in coup d'états across West Africa constitute the issue that this thesis examines, and it is unquestionably one of the utmost importance. This problem necessitates thorough research since it poses a threat to regional stability and a grave threat to the very principles of democratic governance in a diverse and complicated region of the world.
